The board has resolved to extend the share offer until 28th February 2018. For those who invest between 11th February 2018 and 28th February 2018, interest will begin to accrue from the 1st March 2018 and the investor will be paid interest from the 1st March 2018 to 31st December 2018 by 31st July 2019.

Heart of England Community Energy (HECE) are thrilled to offer you the chance to invest in and become a member of the UK's largest community energy company. You share purchase, one member one vote, will allow you the opportunity to participate in the ownership of local, renewable energy resources as well as the re-investment of HECE's profits into the local community via a Community Fund.

Your investment will enable HECE to start repaying the short-term loans used to finance the acquisition of the three solar farms, with further investment offers scheduled for next year to repay all the short-term debt.

The three solar farms are located on the old DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon covering 75 acres of land and made up of 60,000 solar panels. The three solar farms are called Poplars, Willows and Leys. Total installed capacity of the the three farms is 14.7MW and this equates to enough capacity to power 4,500 typical UK homes.
